There have been rumors lately about Forza Horizon 4 claiming that Microsoft will release it in 2018. Considering how popular Forza Horizon 3 was these rumors might not be so ludicrous after all.
Both critics and gamers adored Forza Horizon 3 and the game successfully won hearts of million gamers but it also attracted numerous car lovers. And now everyone is anticipating the release of Forza Horizon 4. Forza Horizon 4 should be released next year, however, we do not know the exact date because Microsoft kept quiet on this topic.
You are probably wondering what the origin of these rumors is. Microsoft had an interview with an online publication recently and Chris Tector, Turn 10 Studios software architect, revealed that Forza ‘is now an annual franchise’. Those words suggest that ‘Horizon’ and ‘Motorsport’ titles will be released one after the other. Still don’t get it? Well, if Microsoft releases ‘Forza Motorsport 7’ next year then we’ll most likely also see ‘Forza Horizon 4’ in the same year. If Tector’s statement is to be taken seriously.
He added at the recent E3 that ‘It’s really this interesting path that we weave between the two titles and try to keep up with the changes’ and that is why we believe that Horizon 4 is coming in 2018.
Chris then went on to say how ‘ensuring Forza games to deliver best performances is a challenge no matter how things go smoothly in the process’. He claimed how it is important to look ahead and plan so as to learn what should be changed in the game because it is important to lead everyone into the right direction, the direction that would provide us with hundreds of hours in front of the screen enjoying the game.
‘It’s a big job to line up with what hardware changes are coming, what platform changes are going to come in the OS and other bits of software that we use. And how we’re going to maximize that to exploit it for each game that we do’ he said.
Even though there is no official confirmation on the arrival date of ‘Forza Horizon 4’ if we were to deduce from Tector’s words we’d put our money on it arriving in 2018. Think about it, ‘Horizon’ series is as successful as ‘Motorsport’ series if not even more successful and we just don’t see why Microsoft shouldn’t continue riding on its success.
