The son of the former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowler Erik Williams was arrested in a double murder in Texas. Cassius Shakembe Williams, who is only 20 years old, was together with the man named Rozman Rah-saan Shannon Jr. and they shoot two people in Mesquite, according to TMZ.
According to the officials, they wanted to buy the illegal substances when the shooting took place. The people murdered were Jacob Hollet, 19, found in the driver’s seat of a gray Nissan and Dalton Prater, 18, whose body was found in a pickup truck. Hollet managed to survive for a short period of time, but he died after he was transported to the hospital.
Cassius Williams, who was a defensive tackle in 2015 at the Central State University in Ohio is held on a $1 million bond, together with Shannon. They are charged with capital murder which means that they could face a death penalty.
Cassius’ father Erik Williams was in the NFL for 11 seasons, and he played on the position of the offensive tackle. Out of the 11 years, he spent 10 with the Dallas Cowboys. Erik won three Super Bowls, and he was the Pro Bowler four times in his career. Moreover, he was in the All-Pro First Team two times. In the last year of his career, Erik Williams was with the Baltimore Ravens.
