Although it hasn’t been long since the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor hit the market, the company already plans to make some changes to the styling of the vehicle. On the spy photos, we can see that the rear end of a car is camouflaged and it will probably be some minor update. It is unusual that vehicles get changed immediately after they go on sale, so we don’t know the reason behind it.
Although the rear end is heavily camouflaged we can tell that the overall design of the tailgate is flatter in comparison to the ongoing model. Trunk rump doesn’t have the delicate crease and there is a protruding section on the tailgate handle.
These changes may be small and not visible at first sight, but they may indicate that in the future we are going to have a redesigned rear end. Ford covered the taillights well, so we cannot tell whether something is happening in this segment.
The 2018 model will definitely see some changes regarding style. However, there will probably be no mechanical revisions, mainly because the F-150 Raptor has just come out. The car is equipped with biturbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that delivers 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.
Furthermore, it has a 10-speed automatic transmission and the fuel economy is improved to 15 mpg city, 18 mpg highway and 16 mpg combined. This is a significant upgrade comparing to the previous 6.2-liter V8 unit.
