The special edition Audi in question is the R8 that our kind German automaker decided to make just in time for the release of the game. Final Fantasy XV and Audi partnered up to prepare something special, no, something one-of-a-kind, the Final Fantasy Audi R8 Star of Lucis. But wait, do not think immediately that this is a toy car or one made for comic cons or something similar, no, it’s a real deal. It is a car you can drive day-to-day, and it’s up for sale in Japan.
As I mentioned before the Final Fantasy XV R8 special edition is named Star of Lucis and it was showcased for the first time in the Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. This special edition will come packing 610 HP in the form of Audi’s 5.2 L V10 engine hooked up to a seven-speed S-Tronic transmission. The run from full stop to a 100 km/h is done in only 3.2 sec while the top speed is mouth-watering 330 km/h.
Now for the bad news, well bad at least for some. If you want to be a proud owner of this dream car, you will have to get in line with others because there is only one of these made. Audi Japan is calling all interested buyers to participate in the raffle they are holding, and anyone is free to join the lottery until November 21. Since this remarkable vehicle is a part of Final Fantasy XV launch event, most of the potential buyers are probably expecting to get a free copy of the new game as a part of the car purchase, but that is when the cold shower hits. You can have the supercar only; you still have to buy the game.
Final Fantasy XV Audi R8 Price
The one thing that I haven’t inform you of is the price tag. I meant to do that at the end because I don’t want you to collapse before you read it all. The price tag of the Final Fantasy XV Audi R8 in Japan is 50.000.015 yen or $469,256 which makes it probably one of the most expensive collector’s items in the gaming industry. It without any doubt has beaten the Codemasters $190,000 BAC Mono for Grid 2 but comes second place just behind the Saint Row’s $1 million bundle.

The game, if anyone is interested anymore, will come out for PlayStation 4 Pro on November 29th and you have several options for purchase such as Day One, Deluxe, and Ultimate Collector’s Edition where this last is already sold out a few months ago due to its popularity and high demand.
