Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, two Hollywood stars, had a beef and Universal insisted that these to make peace after they had been fighting on the set of the long-anticipated The Fate of the Furious. This was in August last year, and now the feud has been renewed.
According to several sources, Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel are kept from one another as the cast and crew continue the press tour. An insider declares: “They’re keeping them separated as much as possible.”
What is odd is that Universal brought film footage to CinemaCon in Las Vegas and Vin Diesel and Charlize Theron were there with the rest of the cast. Guess who missed this promotion of the eighth installment of the popular movie? That’s right – Dwayne Johnson, who is, by the way, spotted on the set of Ballers in Miami. What is interesting here is that just one day earlier, The Rock was in Vegas for the Baywatch presentation at CinemaCon. He also introduced Jumanji at the exhibition showcase on Monday.
Universal is trying to calm things down, and they said that the two renowned actors have had different schedules throughout the tour, but according to the sources, both of them could have appeared at the CinemaCon without any problems.
This whole thing started during the filming in Atlanta when Diesel was late for his final scene with Johnson, after which the former WWE star wrote a status on Facebook where he complimented his female co-stars and insulted some of the male co-stars by calling them various names. Vin Diesel understood this was about him and he was publicly singled out as the source of Johnson’s social media outburst. This has only had consequences on the franchise, and Vin Diesel is the irreplaceable actor who has been there since day one, whereas Johnson is a huge star who is one of the biggest box-office draws in business.
Back then a studio announced: “What happened is over, and no one expects there to be any lingering effects. When it comes time to promote the movie, this will have no bearing.” Even though this feud is definitely not over, we have no doubt that this will not affect the film in any way since they are both professionals.
