88. The Han and Elena problems that need to be addressed
Let’s not forget that Deckard was the one who killed Han in Tokyo but at the end of Fast 8, Dom shook Deckard’s hand to thank him for rescuing his son. At one point during the film, we find out that Cipher corrupted the younger Shaw of the family. She was also trying to recruit Deckard, but he was not easily persuaded, and all they needed was a line where Cipher forced Deckard to kill Han.
Someone needs to address this issue, and they cannot go on as if nothing happened and as if Han was still alive. We have got used to seeing story changes as we move from one Fast and Furious film to another, so these are some issues which need to be fixed. Also, Hobbs didn’t mourn the death of Elena, his ex-partner and the mother of Dom’s child, which is also slightly off. Hopefully, Elena will be remembered.
