The list of MVP candidates is being shortened on a daily basis, but Gurley’s name is picking up steam after a season of magical performances for the Rams. This man recorded 17 touchdowns, and that is five more than any other player in the whole league, he scattered the Seahawks for 209 total yards and four scores in a 42-7 destruction that permanently changed the NFC West. If he does not get a runaway lock for Comeback Player of the Year, then we don’t know who will. Consider also that Gurley shook off last season’s stuck-in-the-mud state of things. Jeff Fisher’s campaign operated as the most fearsome, versatile, tackle-breaking danger west of Alvin Kamara.
