T.J. Miller gave some enticing news about the next summer’s highly anticipated Deadpool 2 movie. He was in New York today, after having an impromptu trip to the Cannes Film Festival. This man came back to the US for a press conference regarding The Emoji Movie from Sony Animation. During the interview, he confirmed he would reprise Weasel in Deadpool 2. He clearly indicated that the next installment would be even more “weaselicious.”
“Marvel will cut off my hand and tongue if I tell you. But…let me just tell you that the second installment will be even more weaselicious. Let me just put it that way, to quote Pauly Shore. I’m very excited about it. That starts in August and September. I’m so excited. I know it means so much to Ryan that it’s good; and for the writers, and for all of us actually. The first one did so well, people loved it so much. I think they really put the time in on the script. I’m just so excited.”
Deadpool was a box office hit, earning an astonishing $783 million globally, surpassing The Passion of the Christ within $7 million for the top R-rated movie of all time. Although there were a lot of rumors regarding the next installment, this is what we know. David Leitch, a stuntman, and a veteran actor will be directing Deadpool 2. Together with T.J. Miller, we will see Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin return. Josh Brolin will be playing Nathan Summers, also known as Cable. For those that do not know, Cable was a soldier who was sent back in time so that he can prevent the apocalypse. Initially, the character is Deadpool’s opponent, but he becomes the leader of the X-Force.
Domino is a brand new female mutant who is pretty important in Deadpool 2. In the X-Force comics, she is Cable’s crush and lieutenant. Zazie Beets (FX’s Atlanta) got this desirable role. An official studio announcement still hasn’t appeared. However, Ryan Reynolds tweeted a photo of the actress’s name spelled out in dominos.
Most fans would probably concur that T.J. Miller and Ryan Reynolds got along excellent in Deadpool. Both of them provided us with sharp wit and delivery with heart. It’s great to hear that Miller will not only be returning for this installment but will also have a more notable role. The way he talked about the movie was so thrilling. It seems that they have an amazing script. So far, everything we’ve seen points out that Deadpool 2 will be the launch of X-Force. We bet fans are getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Fox has scheduled Deadpool 2 for June 1, 2018.
