It has been slightly over two months since the WrestleMania 34, and we are already getting rumors about the next one that will be held at MetLife Stadium on April 7, 2019. Since Dwayne The Rock Johnson is one of the most successful wrestlers ever, it is only logical to first hear his name and talk the possibility of him being a part of the biggest event in the wrestling industry.
As we all know, Johnson went from wrestling to movie making and is currently among the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Since he is the most sought out name, his schedule is insane, meaning he has no time for WWE. This is something that truly saddens all the fans of wrestling. Unfortunately, he isn’t even able to appear on any of the major events, which just speaks about how busy Dwayne is, and we know how much he respects everything WWE has done for him.
Every now and then, especially when the WrestleMania approaches, rumors about him being a part of it start. There were plans for The Rock to team up with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, but that didn’t pan out. His place was taken by Kurt Angle. The last time he was in the ring it was for a six seconds win over Eric Rowan at WrestleMania 32 about two years ago.
It looks like that it will be hard to fit biggest WWE event into Dwayne’s calendar as he will be working on Red Notice in April next year. Since every wrestling match brings risk, we know that he will not be in one. On the other hand, is there a chance for him to have a slightly different role?
Any injury could significantly postpone production, and we know that time is money in the movie industry, in this case, big big money. Therefore, we might see him in a non-wrestling role, and that would also delight the fans. Just imagine speaker announcing that The Rock is in the house. The crowd would go wild.
Dwayne Johnson has a few projects in production and many more set for the future. Closest one is the Skyscraper after which we expect to see him in Fast and Furious spinoff with Jason Statham. In 2019, he will be working with Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) on Red Notice.
