This year’s US presidential elections were, in a lack of a better word, strange. You heard what you heard, and you saw what you saw, like it or not Mr. Trump is the new president. You have to respect that at least. But what else these presidential elections brought is the fact that now everybody is considering to run for office. No matter if you are a businessman, actor/actress, dancer or whatever come on hurry up and write your name down and let the people decide. The most recent one of these cases is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s consideration for running in the 2024 elections.
Dwayne stated “I wouldn’t rule it out” to the Paul Chi of Vanity Fair on Sunday and added “It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen”. What additionally shows that The Rock has true ambitions for the Oval office chair is the teased potential run for the White House back in March. If you are wondering what happened to The Rock and how come that this kind of ambition suddenly fuels this wrestler and movie star’s ambition, well you can thank that to the new president as well. When the person without any political experience at all runs and manages to get voted as the President of the United States of America, well then anyone can do it. Why wouldn’t The Rock run then?!
After Trump won the elections, Dwayne send out a kinda long message to all of his fans which you can see here. When Johnson was asked about the future and is he thinking about the possibility of running the country, this 44-year-old actor showed a certain appeal to the notion. The Rock stated for the British GQ “I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring.” and added, “And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale.” It seems that Dwayne is truly giving this a serious thought, but then he must know, and all of us must realize, that running for the presidency means pulling a plug on his future acting career and slowing down the current. If you do not know he currently stars in HBO’s Ballers and is set to appear in Fast 8, Baywatch and Jumanji in 2017.
