The Fast and Furious franchise star, Dwayne The Rock Johnson is about to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The big ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 13, and according to Ana Martinez, the producer of Walk of Fame, Johnson has all the potentials to gain such an honor.
“Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work, which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez. She continued by adding “We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans.”
He achieved a real breakthrough while taking part in WWE’s “Attitude Era.” His fame also comes from his enmity against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as the two fought against each other for years.
Even the two foes were aware of the success that they brought to each other. On one of his Instagram posts Johnson wrote:
“Even though I lost the WWE title (which is considered an honor in our business) to Austin that night in my mind I literally felt like I was king of the world. I even celebrated like a wild man by ordering a big ass pizza to my hotel room.”
As he got older, Johnson turned himself more towards becoming the greatest face of Hollywood. He returned to his roots several times, entering the ring again in 2011, but his prime focus remains to be on acting.
He was not the first wrestler who has tried to become part of the grand Hollywood, but Dwayne was among few who succeeded doing so. In 2016, this man truly deserved all the praise that he received as he has become the most paid actor, acquiring $64.5 million.
Following the footsteps of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who got the star of his own back in 2008, Dwayne will be at the ceremony next week accompanied by his former chief.
