Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock was named The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment after which he moved to Hollywood. However, before that, he was a funny man, and this guy recreated his iconic photo from the nineties.
He has recently posted a side-by-side comparison image on which we can see what Dwayne Johnson looked like before and what does he looks like now in the same outfit. He’s come the long way, indeed. In both photos, The Rock wears a black turtleneck, silver chain and a fanny pack. Furthermore, he had to put on a silver bracelet on one wrist and watch on the other whereas there is a napkin under his right forearm.
This is what Dwayne Johnson wrote under the photo: “I took this iconic absurdity of a picture in 1996 I was one year removed from sleeping on a used mattress I took from a garbage dumpster in the back of an hourly motel. Couldn’t afford to buy a bed so we do what we gotta do to get by. You can imagine all the fun colorful bodily fluids I tried my best to clean off.”
He moves forward and talks about his opportunity to host Saturday Night Live for the fifth time in his life, and he did do that over the weekend. The Hollywood actor continued: “If you’re going thru your own tough times “used mattress” stage, do your best to have faith things’ll get better and always be willing to outwork your competition because you never know where life is gonna take you.”
He even joked about the napkin under his arm, but he wrapped things up by mentioning his fanny pack: “Oh and tuck the thumb in the fanny pack. Always tuck the thumb.” Johnson’s latest project is the movie Baywatch where he stars together with Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra. This film was released recently, but it was only a limited release.
