There is no doubt that one of the most popular actors in Hollywood is Dwayne Johnson and this guy recently shared with his fans that he fell in love with the Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. According to The Rock, this happened immediately after their first meeting and the Bollywood’s “desi girl” was just irresistible.
In an interview with Now Showing, Dwayne Johnson said: “I love this woman, it’s funny when she came to America. She was over here, signed with our agency, with my agent and we immediately had that connection.”
“We got on the phone, we immediately vibed, we share the same DNA, the same ambition. Not only did I fall in love with her, but we had this crazy idea that she would be an amazing villain on Baywatch,” added Johnson.
Priyanka’s Hollywood debut role was in Baywatch, a reboot of the popular 1990s’ TV series. About her antagonist role in the movie, Dwayne stated: “I think in order to play a villain, the greatest of villains have this great quality and capacity and depth, and that’s exactly what Priyanka has. So, it originally was written for a man. It is way cooler if we flip that over and made it a female.”
The 45-year-old actor was also impressed with her work techniques: “With Priyanka, everything is considered, every little detail is considered.”
Baywatch is directed by Seth Gordon, while next to Johnson and Chopra, we had a chance to see Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Jon Bass and Kelly Rohrbach. The movie premiered last weekend, and although the expectations were high, many critiques rated this release poorly. Some of the comments were “shallow,” “stupid,” “misguided” and “wantonly crude.” Nevertheless, the cast and crew continued to promote this movie in London and Berlin.
