Priyanka Chopra, one of India’s highest-paid and most popular celebrities, was a guest on the latest episode of Koffee with Karan and she mentioned something that could be a hint about Dwayne Johnson’s coming to India for the first time. The two of them have been working together on the upcoming movie “Baywatch” directed by Seth Gordon and set to hit theaters in just a couple of months (May 26). As you may guess, the film is based on the highly popular TV series of the same title. Other cast members of the movie include Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Zac Efron.
Not long time ago, another Indian actress, Deepika Padukone, managed to get another famous Hollywood actor, Vin Diesel, to come to India so as to promote “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” the third installment in the xXx franchise and a sequel to both xXx (2002) and xXx: State of the Union (2005). The movie stars both Deepika Padukone and Diesel. So, since she brought her co-star to India, many people assume that Chopra will do the same and bring Johnson. In addition to this, some believe that the very fact that Diesel was in India and The Rock was not would encourage The Rock to make an appearance there.
All in all, here’s what happened in the previously mentioned episode of Koffee with Karan. The show host and the actress talked about the US tour organized by Karan Johar, an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter. During their visit, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt met Priyanka Chopra but did not get to meet Dwayne Johnson. Being a huge fan of the superstar actor, Dhawan was deeply disappointed with such course of action. So, the actress stated that she would definitely make sure these two meet when Johnson pays a visit to India.
