Dallas Cowboys and Donald Trump in the same sentence? Sounds interesting? Well, it does for us, and we can tell you that current President of the United States had a chance, or at least he commented that he had a chance, to buy Dallas Cowboys.
His story is all the way from 1984, and according to the head of the state, at the moment there were three or four teams available. He also added that he could get one for $40 million or $50 million. We presume that one of those was the Dallas Cowboys.
This was a quite interesting story and here is what President had to say about that: “I could have bought an NFL team. There were three or four available — that still are available, including, of course, the Dallas Cowboys.
“I could have bought an NFL club for $40 million or $50 million, but it’s established and you would just see it move laterally. Not enough to create there.
“I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys,” Donald Trump stated. “It’s a no-win situation for him, because if he wins, well, so what, they’ve won through the years, and if he loses, which seems likely because they’re having troubles, he’ll be known to the world as a loser.”
It seems that not every business move of Donald Trump was a hit as we know that Jerry Jones bought Cowboys in 1989 for $140 million. The franchise made a u-turn, and they managed to take three Super Bowls in seven seasons.
On top of that, according to few reports, this is the most valuable sports franchise in the world, and it is estimated at incredible $4 billion. We are not sure if Trump would make this team so successful and popular as Jones did, but we are pretty sure that he would be good in this business also.
What do you think that would happen if Donald Trump bought Dallas Cowboys? Would the team be better than currently is? Would he become a president? Maybe Jerry Jones would run for office? Leave a comment, what do you think that would happen?
