New Dodge Challenger Demon has been tested without any camouflage in the Detroit area and to no surprise, this prototype looks just like a Challenger. So far, this has been our best look at this muscle car.
The exterior paint of the Demon is silver, while its hood and roof are painted in matte black. In order to add more aggressiveness, the engineers installed the bolted-on fenders, whereas the 45 square-inch hood scoop is the biggest one you can find on any production vehicle. Furthermore, the Dodge Challenger Demon is equipped with side skirts, remodeled rear fenders, stickers on the windshield and the engine which will deliver five extra horsepower.
Taking into account everything we can see on the body of the vehicle, it is possible that this one is designed for the new Fast and Furious movie. We had a chance to see the Challenger Demon in the “leaked” video about Fast 8 in January, and the car in that video had the same color scheme as this one.
The fans have been showered with teasers about the new Dodge Challenger Demon, which will lose 215 pounds and produce more power with a supercharged V8 engine that lies under its hood. The Demon should be even better than the Hellcat that delivers 707 horsepower, and that really is something special.
The special Demon-branded 18×11 inch 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag radials will be offered for the new model together with mechanical/electronic drag-race-specific suspension tuning system. The acceleration of this car will be fantastic due to an updated torque converter with a higher stall speed.
The car is expected to arrive in New York for the Auto Show that kicks off in April. Until then, several more teasers will be released, and hopefully, with those, we will get information about price and performances.
