5Die Hard 2 – 1990
Just like original Die Hard, the sequel was based on a novel. This time, the book called 58 Minutes by Walter Wager was used. However, the writing team changed, and de Souza worked with Doug Richardson, whereas John McTiernan also left, so the movie was directed by Renny Harlin. Still, the sequel was tense and much bigger and louder compared to the first film. A total of $70 million was spent, which exceeded the price of the original by more than a half.
