Dez Bryant was sidelined with a knee injury and didn’t play in Cowboys’ game ever since Week 3. Dallas did just fine without him as they haven’t lost a game since Week 1.
Still, we had a chance to see how big of an impact he can make and how important of a weapon he is for a quarterback, especially a young one that needs one wideout that can go long and make catches outside the numbers.
Dez had four catches on the day, but boy, they were all huge. He finished the game with 114 receiving yards and one touchdown that tied the game at 23 late in the final quarter of the match. His longest reception was the one in which he gained 53 yards for his team to move the chains and put them in a scoring situation.
There were talks about whether or not Cowboys should try to find a trading partner. The one that is interested in acquiring Dez Bryant since Dallas was winning without him.
Bryant came to play today and showed why he is an important piece for this crew. Without him, it’s hard to believe that Cowboys would have walked out of this duel as winners.
There is no need to move Dez now when Dallas is playing winning football. His impact going forward will be crucial as every quarterback needs that dominant wideout when games get tight and it’s time to make a big play. Bryant is a playmaker that will continue to make noise for this team and help them come to postseason time. Prescot has another weapon at his disposal and this already deadly squad is getting even better now.
