The battle for the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos is still going on. It is one of the most interesting battles during the preseason as Broncos should be challenging for the Playoffs. That just shows you under how much pressure is their next starting signal caller going to be as he is going to be expected to deliver each and every week. It’s not like we are talking about a team that is going to tank the year.
Broncos had a joint practice with their Saturday’s opponent, and Paxton Lynch has made his case to be the starting quarterback for this squad after completing all of his twelve passes on the day and making some “wow” plays. Yes, that is how they were described. Trevor Siemian was decent last year, but it seems that Paxton Lynch is in the lead right now and is looking to have a good game against 49ers to bolster his case for the starting job.
On the other hand, the Niners know that Brian Hoyer is going to be their starter at the quarterback position barring a setback. What we do know now is that C.J. Beathard is going to be second on the field against the Broncos while Matt Barkley will be the third signal caller to enter the game. Beathard has been great during the camp according to reports, which has earned him a good test against Broncos No.2 defense and not the No.3 defense that Barkley is going to be facing.
Starters for the Niners are going to see some action, at least around 20 snaps according to Kyle Shanahan. This is going to be a decent match on Saturday night, with the Niners winning it 21:17. The first two quarters are what you need to watch as the starters will play. Second half, well, it is not nearly as important.
