It has been quite some time since it was confirmed that Deadpool would get a sequel in 2018, but it was not until now that anything about the official trailer was known for sure. Namely, we did see a Good Housekeeping cover shoot, Norman Rockwell-inspired poster, and Bob Ross-infused teaser video, but there was no proper trailer which would get us a sneak peek at the upcoming movie. For all of you who already started losing your patience waiting for this moment to come, we have some good news – Deadpool 2 trailer is set to be released in three weeks’ time.
According to Collider, the official trailer will see the light of day next month together with Marvel’s Black Panther, which is slated for a February release date (February 16th, to be more precise). So, the highly-anticipated trailer will be delivered together with the first superhero movie of 2018. But that’s not all! It has been said that the video will feature James Brolin’s Cable. Well, we’re sure that this one will reveal much more than last year’s teaser which featured Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) impersonating Bob Ross, right?
Fox will launch the trailer online on February 14th. Did they pick that date just randomly? Not really. For those of you who don’t remember it, it was precisely on Valentine’s Day that the original Deadpool movie was released in 2016, so they found it suitable to use the same date for the official introduction of the sequel this year.
As for the movie alone, we still don’t know its title, even though its release date is getting closer – the new installment will hit theaters on May 18th. That’s all we know at this moment, but stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated. For now, make sure you don’t miss the forthcoming trailer, and we’ll let you know as soon as we find out a little bit more about the film.
