After its premiere on April 6, 2013, Date A Live immediately won the hearts of the audience. It is an anime adaptation of a Japanese series of the novels with the same title. It premiered on Tokyo-MX, but originally debuted on Niconico website in low quality a week before the premiere.
The TV show is directed by Keitaro Motonaga, developed by the AIC PLUS+ studio and music by Go Sakabe. The second season titled Date A Live II debuted on April 12, 2014, not long after the first season had finished. The Production IMS was behind the sequel. Both seasons are based on the script written by Hideki Shirane. Apart from that, a movie was made. The anime film titled Date A Live Movie: Mayuri Judgement premiered on August 22, 2015.
The story follows the life of a high-school orphan named Shido Itsuka, who is 16 years old, and finds himself in the middle of a disaster. He becomes a witness of a “spatial quake” which ruined a part of his hometown. He tries to save his younger sister from the epicenter of the disaster and faces an intriguing girl in armor.
Before he is able to recover, he finds himself in a spaceship where his sister Kotori is a captain and a boss. Kotori explains to him that the mysterious girl he met is a Spirit who intends to destroy the Earth and the only way for him to prevent her from doing so is to make her love the Earth and its inhabitants. What’s more, he is supposed to act like someone that she loves.
Date A Live Season 3 Release Date
Inversion, the tenth episode of Date A Live II ended on June 14, 2014. The final episode was released on December 9, 2014. The movie hit the theaters on August 22, 2015. Nonetheless, no official announcement on the third season of the show has been made. We hope they will decide on it as soon as possible and we’ll keep you updated.
