Daniel Craig returns to the role of James Bond, and he has reportedly agreed to avoid more dangerous stunts on the set. According to several reports, actor’s wife Rachel Weisz managed to persuade Craig to avoid some of the more dangerous stunts after he had suffered minor injuries.
The Mirror talked to the source who said: “It’s a big bone of contention. Rachel doesn’t want him in agony again. None of his aches and pains have gone away completely. There’s a legacy to all these injuries, and she lives with them. They’ve come to an agreement about how hard he will push himself, and he is pulling back from the edge this time. It’s a prerequisite.”
Craig had already revealed some of the injuries he suffered and the damage he had done to his body while the crew was shooting Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. He declared: “I knackered my knee and had surgery, I’ve had my right shoulder reconstructed, my other knee operated on and my thumb got hurt.”
He has just recently confirmed that he would be in the new 007 movie even though he had openly stated that he would not return. However, it appears that Craig was offered an amount of money which he couldn’t refuse and we will watch him in his fifth James Bond title. To the disappointment of many fans around the world, Craig revealed that the next James Bond film would definitely be his last.
When he was asked whether he would do another film after Bond 25, Daniel Craig responded: “No, this is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.” The new James Bond movie will debut in November 2019.
