Like we didn’t know – Daniel Craig will return in his role as James Bond once again. However, the actor made an official announcement in the US on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show on Tuesday Nights.
The host asked Craig about his feelings towards the role of the world’s most famous secret agent and Craig’s willingness to play the role again. He responded: “I have been quite cagey about it. I have been doing interviews all day, and people have been asking me, and I think I’ve been rather coy. But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth, I should speak truth to you.”
Then Colbert “popped the question” and the actor said “Yes.” For the fifth time, we will watch Daniel Craig as James Bond, and now it is official. The audience was thrilled to hear that Craig returns as the 007, but he then went on to say that it would be his last time to play James Bond. He told Colbert: “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
We have learned that there still hasn’t been an official deal over the upcoming 007 sequel, which is supposed to premiere in 2019. Craig also told US radio station Magic that he would “love to do it” but was weighing up “personal decisions.” Craig’s previous Bond movies were Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
The fans displayed their happiness about Craig’s return on Twitter. Lately, there have been entertaining photos and comments made by the fans of the franchise and the actor. You can see it below.
