The Dallas Cowboys are an iconic NFL squad for a multitude of reasons. First of all, they probably have the largest fanbase in the NFL and are considered to be an America’s team. The tradition that they have is rivaled by only a few teams in the league. Five Super Bowl rings and consistent media attention that they are getting have helped them become one of the most popular teams in the world and the most expensive franchise in the world.
A part of their tradition is their white uniform. While many squads always decide to wear dark colors at home, the Dallas Cowboys are always sticking to their white combination. 90% of their games are in that same uniform. The fans love them, and they are iconic, but the time will come when they are going to get a bit stale. Their true colors are silver and navy blue, so the question is why they are not using those colors more often.
Thanksgiving is the day when the Dallas Cowboy usually play. The most popular team in America is always going to be a part of a day that is symbolized with turkey, family gathering and football. In the last couple of years, they have worn their navy jerseys, and that might continue in the future in the other games as well, at least according to their equipment director McCord.
“We’ll incorporate navy a little bit more,” McCord stated in an interview with FOX Sports. “You’ve already seen the last couple of years where we started wearing navy at home on Thanksgiving and that’s all kind of in relation to the Color Rush uniform. We’ve had some success wearing that uniform at home, so I think we’ll see a little more of it.”
