As we already know, the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will have to go through Dallas. If someone wants to get to the biggest stage of them all in Football, they need to win at least one game at AT&T Stadium. Let’s take a look at Dallas’ potential opponents that are in the wild card round.
It won’t be the Seattle Seahawks or the Atlanta Falcons as they will have the 2nd and the 3rd seed. They could meet with Dallas in the NFC Championship game, but not in the Divisional Round. Their potential opponents at this stage of the season are the Redskins, Packers, Lions or the Giants. New York will for sure be in the Playoffs, but one of those other squads won’t even make it to the postseason.
Detriot Lions lost just a couple of days ago to Dallas, and they aren’t that big of a threat to the Cowboys if they find a way to get to the Divisional Round.
The Giants have already beaten the Cowboys twice this season. Their defense is getting the job done, but if the offense doesn’t respond on a much higher level in this potential third contest with Dallas, Garrett’s squad will be in a great position.
Dallas has already beaten the Green Bay Packers, but they are not the same team as they were in that Week 7 matchup. They are the winners of five straight so Dallas would be better off not playing against Aaron Rodgers.
Redskins are always dangerous, but they need to win in Week 17 to get to the Playoffs. They have two close losses to the Cowboys so Dallas would be a big favorite in that matchup.
The toughest opponent for Dallas would be the Green Bay Packers, followed by the Giants, then the Redskins and finally, the Lions.
