According to research, it seems that Samuel Ball managed to become one of the richest men in Nova Scotia, but it isn’t clear how he got there. One of the theories suggests that he found the treasure on the island and used it to buy 35 acres of land where he would bring slaves allowing them to live free. This man also formed homestead on the property and it would be fantastic to find out that he used the treasure to improve the position of the black people.
