55. Did he bury the treasure on Oak Island?
Steve Atkinson, one of Captain James Anderson descendants, was willing to bring the sea chest and show it to Peter Fornetti, historian Doug Crowell, Charles Barkhouse and Alex Lagina. The chest has been handed down from one generation to the other. When he moved to the island, Samuel Ball got mysteriously wealthy, so the question that arises here is whether Anderson was the reason for that? Is Captain James Anderson, the same James Anderson who bought Lot 26 on Oak Island – we believe it is because what are the chances that there were two James Andersons at the time, both involved with the island. We will have to trust our gut here.
Let’s not forget that Anderson was a privateer, so he must have got rich over time. He discovers the Money Pit, and one year later he dies in the West Indies. Why was he there? Could Anderson have buried the gains and loots on the island then left it there? Possible.
