Cristiano Ronaldo injured?! Could it be?!

The news that revolves around our favorite superstar are bad this time. Or are they? Apparently, after the game with Sporting Gijon, which Real Madrid won 2-1 and after the Portuguese star was a key player scoring both goals, he allegedly finished the game in some discomfort. But what is funny is that right after that Cristiano showed no sign of problems in training at the club’s Valdebebas complex.

This is of course very good news for the team as well as his fans because the next El Clasico against Barcelona is being prepped, and for Real Madrid to have its key player sitting on the bench would mean even tougher battle. The alleged rumors about his injury have been denied by Cristiano himself when he came to the Valdebebas complex and finished the training with no signs of pain or injury.

Ronaldo normally trained on Monday, which was their first session after beating Sporting and after Real’s well-deserved day off on Sunday. The additional good news for Real and fans is the return of Raphael Varane after his knee injury that kept him sidelined for a long time. But why is the wellbeing of Ronaldo so important to Madrid? Besides him being the star of the team of course. Well, the situation is a little complicated, and Real has so many injuries racked up so far in the competition which pretty much left them a little short-handed when the forward line is considered.

Ronaldo doubtful for El Clasico

If you recall, Gareth Bale suffered right ankle injury and he is supposed to have a surgery on Tuesday that will sideline him until the new year, than there are Toni Kroos and Alvaro Morata that are also confirmed to be absent for the EL Clasico due to injuries. The German and the Spaniard are slowly recuperating and they were both at a light training session with the team after a fractured toe and hamstring problem respectively. We really hope that this bad injury streak that has set on Real will very soon become past and that the squad will be at full strength.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are supposed to meet each other on Saturday at Camp Nou. As you know, the Catalans are trailing behind their arch-rivals by five points after 12 games of the Liga campaign, and they are hoping to close the distance and regain the throne very soon. Well, best of luck to both of these teams!

My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
