One of the most glorious clubs in the history of football, Real Madrid, signed a partnership deal with Emirates. Popular ‘Los Blancos’ acquired a luxurious airplane which is especially detailed so as to promote the brand.

How did they do this? Well, the new luxurious aircraft features most popular if not the best players from the club. Cristiano Ronaldo was followed by Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Marcelo on the painting placed on the side of the aircraft. The footballers mentioned above visited Barajas Airport in Madrid to unveil this unique airplane.

Real Madrid has been sponsored by ‘Fly Emirates’ since 2013, you could see the company’s logo on players’ jerseys, the most recent occasion was their Champions League triumph over Italian side Napoli.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that the company is most likely going to be a part of Real’s history should they win La Liga title. Current table standings show that Los Blancos are two points ahead of their rivals Barcelona, but they also have one game in hand.

The latest fixture for Real was in the Basque region of Spain. They faced Athletic Bilbao this weekend and won 2-1. Their rivals, title contenders, Barcelona battled Valencia to a 4-2 win at Camp Nou. Next big match for Zidane’s side will be against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of Champions League. Tough draw but if they are to win the most prestigious title in football, they have to win against mighty Germans.

Real previously defeated Napoli led by Maurizio Sarri. The aggregate result was 5-2, and Real had minor difficulties but managed to overcome Italians fairly easily. This new plane comes as a reward for good performance, but now they’ll have to prove themselves again against Bayern. Could you imagine what the proper reward would be if they were to win against Bayern and go all the way and win UCL?

The Fly Emirates isn’t new in this kind of marketing. As you may know, they also sponsor London side, Arsenal. Gunners are currently struggling since they were knocked out by Bayern with the aggregate of 10-2 and they lost their league game against underdogs West Bromwich Albion 3-1. Emirates revealed an airplane in January that featured Giroud, Sanchez, Ozil, Cazorla and Hector Bellerin. Back then results weren’t as ‘promising’ as now, and there is no surprise that Emirates moved on to Real Madrid since they’re in a much better position than Arsenal.
