It’s simply amazing how movie after movie Fast & Furious team manages to outdo their crazy tricks and stunts.
Whoever thought that they couldn’t do it, they were wrong. Because that’s what this film series is all about. We enjoy seeing them jumping across bridges, hurling cars over buildings and pulling a vault through the city, and they definitely exceeded our expectations in The Fate of the Furious, or Fast 8 as they call it.
The brand new trailer for the movie was published on Thursday, and it provides us with a longer “sneak peek” than expected. It includes completely wacky stunts and follows the film from Cuba to NYC and even Iceland, as Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) turns his back on his team and family.
The action is abundant for all of us, starting from the submarine chasing, skydiving soldiers, remote-controlled cars, to Luke Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) incredibly managing to stop a torpedo with just his hands.
What the trailer doesn’t show is the precise reason why Dom decided to turn his back on his team, but it is implied that he may have been influenced by the villain hacker Cipher (played by Charlize Theron) because of something mysterious related to their past. In order to save Toretto, Luke Hobbs, Letty Ortiz (played by Michelle Rodriguez) and others in the crew reluctantly join an ex-rival, a special forces soldier Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham).
If you think this is a lot of action to stuff into just one film, you are most definitely right. Supposedly, The Fate of the Furious will last 160 minutes minimum. That makes it the longest movie of this franchise.
Delivered by the director F. Gary Gray, The Fate of the Furious is expected in theaters on April 14. In this latest sequel of one of the biggest franchises in the industry, we will see some famous movie stars such as Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky, etc.
