The NFL Playoffs are exciting for more reasons than one. First of all, it’s tough to get in. Only 12 out of the 32 teams are making the postseason each year, six teams per conference. Secondly, any squad can get hot in the finish and go all the way. Ask the Packers from 2010 and the Giants from 2012 about that. And if you don’t perform well, the season can be over pretty quickly.
One of the most interesting things that NFL Playoffs have to offer is the fact that you don’t know who are you going to play with until the round actually ends. For example, Dallas doesn’t know which winner of which matchup will be their opponent in the Divisional Round. Who should they be rooting for?
Well, they can’t face Seattle. If the Seahawks win, they will be traveling to Atlanta and face the Falcons. They could either face the Packers, Giants or the Lions.
It’s unlikely that they will be facing Detriot as they need to go to Seattle and beat them at Century Link Field. But, they are the best matchup for the Cowboys in the Divisional Round. Dallas has handled the Detriot Lions in the second half of their duel just over a week ago.
Lions clearly can’t hang with the Cowboys, but it’s also likely that Lions also are not the opponent that can take out the Seattle Seahawks. Still, they are the team that Dallas’ fans should be rooting for in the Wild Card Weekend. If not them, the Giants would be a better rival than the Packers, even though they have already lost two times to New York while beating Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau. The Packers are red hot now. Giants are not.
