New England Patriots have won the Super Bowl LI, and as winners, they will be visiting the White House as that is the tradition in America. Every year the team that wins the title in one of America’s four biggest sports are visiting the President of the United States Of America. But, it seems that some Patriots will boycott the visit this year.

Donald Trumps’ win in the election of 2016 has received a mixed reviews, and everybody has an opinion of him. He is known for his racist comments in the past, and that is why some of the players in America in every sport have been vocal about Trump and don’t like that kind of a man as their President. Most of them are African-Americans which is understandable.

Martellus Bennet has immediately stated that he won’t be visiting the White House because he doesn’t feel accepted and has a certain opinion about the President of the United States. His teammate, Devin McCourty has also said that he doesn’t plan on going to the White House. These two are the same guys that protested the National Anathem in Week 1 of the NFL season after Colin Kaepernick decided to do it.

“I’m not going to the White House,” McCourty was loud and clear. “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the President having so much strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others don’t.”

They are the two players that already went out and said that they won’t be visiting but don’t expect that they are going to be the only ones that will miss the trip to the White House.
