WWE is always about getting into the mainstream waters and attracting as many casual fans as they can. The hardcore fans are always the ones that are complaining as the company is not trying to put on great wrestling shows. That is just not their goal right now as they want to generate as much money as possible. The publicity is always going to help them achieve that goal, which means that they are going to even sacrifice the quality of the product just if it is going to make them money.
Big stars and big names are something that WWE is always after. Whether it is some of the older stars coming back or some people outside of the world of wrestling coming into Monday Night Raw, they are interested. Two of the biggest names that they can attract right now are Ronda Rousey and Connor McGregor. It almost looks like Ronda is going to end up with the WWE eventually, but we don’t know what is going to happen with McGregor.
He is at the top of the world right now, making a lot of money with really no need for coming to the company anytime soon. That is something that WWE star Chris Jericho thinks. Here is what he said about Conor possibly joining the show.
“It’s an easy thing to imagine, I would say. I don’t think he’s gonna join in two years, now with all the money he made. But it could happen at some point. He’s got the personality for it, that’s for sure.”
Jericho also stated that it really doesn’t matter who is he going to face if he comes over as it is a show business and anybody can be a good opponent for McGregor if he is booked the right way.
