Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6 is much in hype from quite some time now, and the iPhone lovers are looking forward to many upgrades and improvements in the device along with the bigger size. Recently, a report from China confirms that September 19 can be considered as the date of launch of the iPhone 6 and it, also, revealed the price of 4.7-inch version of the device.
Prices lower?
The reports inform that the Chinese users will have to shell out CNY 5,300 ($850 / €625) for the 32GB version and CNY 6,300 ($1010 / €740) for the 64GB one. When compared with the current price of CNY 5,300 prevailing in the Chinese market for the 16GB iPhone 5S and CNY 6,900 for the 64GB model, the international prices of iPhone 6 models are lower than the previous models.
Availability of the 16GB model is not certain for now. No information is available regarding the price of the bigger 5.5” model. According to the recent news, the company is preparing itself for meeting the huge demand anticipated for the iPhone 6 at the time of its launch and has hired a lot of new workers. Foxconn and Pegatron are the two manufacturers that will account for the production of 70% and 30% of the devices respectively. Pegatron staff will go up by 40% and Foxconn will recruit 10,000 new employees.
Apple to offer attractive features
Apple is expected to make some significant changes to the new iPhone device that comprise of consumer expectations and company’s own initiatives. The iPhone 6’s 4.7-inch model would come with a host of new apps and features of which ‘ultra-retina’ display with a resolution of 960 x 1704, 416 ppi is one. Also, it is said to be rounder and thinner than the previous iPhone series. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s A-line mobile processors have a new A8 processor of 2.6Ghz that is said to run the iPhone 6 devices.
At the new Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) plant in Mesa, Arizona, a sapphire substrate is being produced, which could take the place of Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Upcoming iOS 8 is the new operating system on which the iPhone 6 is said to run. This will come with a crisper look and new features as announced at the WWDC by the company.
