Early Life and College Football
In 1997, Chad finished his high school, which was Miami Beach Senior High School. He continued his schooling in Santa Monica College, where he found his love for football, playing together with Steve Smith, a NFL wide receiver. In 2000, he played for Oregon State Beavers football team, where both him and team were very successful.
Professional Career
Chad has started his professional career after he was picked in the second round of 20001 NFL Draft, for Cincinnati Bengals team, where he broke many records. In 2003, he set a record of 1355 yards, and in 2005 he broke that record. In 2007, list of NFL players Who Covered 85 in the season became very popular. If was made by Yahoo! and it gave an opportunity to fans to vote, and used votes to raise money for charity. In 2005, Chad maintained a checklist. In 2006, he had an injury that made him slow down, even though he planned to play in his own tempo after signing a contract extension up to 2011. Still, he played well and had good season with the team. First season ended with him having 87 receptions with a lead of 1369 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Next to being know for breaking records, he was also recognizable for the way he would show off while celebrating the touchdowns. In 2007, he, again, broke his own record by recording 1440 yards over the previous record of 1432 yards. On the Mike and Mike radio show, he talked about being treated badly by the public during his 2007 season.
In July 2011, Chad was transferred to New England Patriots on a three year contract. He wasn’t productive on this team, so the cotract was terminated in 2012, and he joined Miami Dolphins. After that, he was changing teams pretty often.
