3Troy Aikman Supports Dak Prescott
One of the best Cowboys ever and Hall of Famer Troy Aikman stated: “I don’t think [comparing him to Russell Wilson] is expecting too much. I think that we saw last year how well he did after being in college, not taking snaps from under center, and had not run play action, and yet he worked hard at it. It was obvious. Coaching staff did a heck of a job with him, and he went out and had one of the great years by any rookie quarterback.
“Knowing Dak, I think he’s a guy that you can’t really put into a box because you really miss the point if all you do is evaluate him as a player or his physical abilities … you have to know the guy to know the time he’s going to put in and how important it is to him. So, this guy wants to be great. He’ll go back — as he does each week, and especially in the offseason — he’ll evaluate the areas where he needs to get better, and he’ll put in a great deal of time in the offseason to do that,” concluded Aikman.
