Even though the Hardys are back as a Team Extreme, and they are in a tag team right now, there is no doubt about the fact that Matt wants to use his broken gimmick. It is also well-known fact that the company is aware that there is a lot of money to be made as soon as Impact Wrestling lets him do what he does best with the character that he has created.
Until then, Matt can only plan what he can do with his broken gimmick and do what he can on the main roster right now, and that is tagging with Jeff in his old schtick. The fact of the matter is that these two are going to be over with the fans anyway, but can you just imagine the pop that they will receive from the crowd when at least one of them becomes broken? It is going to be a sight to see.
Matt and Jeff have recently done an interview together in which they have talked about potential dream matches for them in the WWE. Here is what Matt had to say.
“Just for starters, if we get where we need to be, I think ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy against Bray Wyatt would be an amazing deal and you look at him (Jeff) – him vs Seth Rollins, him vs Finn Balor, either one of us vs Roman Reigns.”
Seeing Matt vs. Bray is something that every single fan would like to happen. That is a big money feud right there. When it comes to Jeff, a big push for him is coming as soon as these two split up and we are going to see him face one of the guys that Matt mentioned. A lot of potential is still there with these two as singles competitors, and hopefully, they will soon deliver.
