In 2013, Arizona Cardinals defensive back Rashad Johnson basically walked to the sidelines after a punt return, took his gloves off and saw that the very top of his middle finger was severed. Yes, you read right, it was pretty much cut off. He even tweeted a photo of it. Thankfully, after having the top of his finger shaved down, he returned to the field after only missing two games.
