Another horrible career ending injury happened in the final game of the 2011 regular season. If you recall Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox fumbled a pass on a slant from quarterback Caleb Hanie, and as he tried to pick up the ball he was hit by a Seattle Seahawks defender. He ended up with a fractured vertebra and nerve damage that stopped him from playing ever again.
