The Boston Celtics have snapped their three-game skid on a Friday night against the New York Knicks. They looked much better on the defensive side of the ball while playing hard and with different starting lineup. They still have some work to do, but last night’s outing was a step in the right direction.
On the other hand, we have the Indiana Pacers who dropped their game last night in Philly. This is the first win of the season for the Sixers, so Pacers are the only team that they have beaten. Celtics are struggling to find their game, but the crew from Indiana has one even bigger problem. Identity Crysis
Pacers wanted to play faster, so Larry Bird made the moves to bring in guys like Jeff Teague to help him play the style of basketball that he wanted. Clearly, it’s not working right now as they are 4-5. Paul George is the best player on this squad, but the is not performing like one. He is not showing the games on MVP level that he wants to be. With every loss, there are thoughts about George finally stepping up and taking over, but that is not what has transpired.
Celtics are waiting for Horford and Crowder to return. Meanwhile, they need to get some wins on the board as they are way too good of a team to struggle like they did against Denver and Washington in the past two duels.
Pacers should have a slight edge, just because this match is in Indianapolis. Still, we don’t believe they will get it together, and we are picking the Celtics to win this game 99:92 behind an explosion for Isaiah Thomas. He will go for more than 30 points for the victory, and Celtics will get their big-time road win.
