Directed by Tomohiko Ito, known for “Sword Art Online,” and released by the A-1 Pictures studio, “Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi” (or “ERASED”) appeared for the first time on Fuji Television Network in January 2016. This mystic thriller first aired only on Fuji Television Network, which is known for broadcasting high-quality TV shows, but soon afterward it was available on sixteen more Japanese channels and even three large international cable channels.
Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi Storyline
The anime focuses on Satoru Fujinuma, a manga artist who possesses a superpower, which makes the plot rather intricate and exciting. His super power enables him to go back in time, so he can go backward to the moment right before something horrible happens and stops it. Thus, he has the power to save people. One tragic event – the death of his mother – makes him go back to the time when he was still in elementary school. At that time, eighteen years earlier, two Satoru’s classmates were missing and eventually another Satoru’s friend, a village boy he used to play with, was blamed for that and arrested as a serial killer.
Now, you must be thinking “What does that have to do with his mother’s murder?” Well, as it turns out, these two tragic moments of his life are somehow related, but in order to make it clear how exactly, Saturo has to figure out who the two boys’ real murderer was.
All in all, all of you who love social drama, personal drama or mystical detective type of series, will without a doubt love the anime, as it combines all of these.
Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi Release date
As for the Season 2 release date, A-1 Pictures has neither confirmed nor denied the renewal yet. Since ERASED is a part of the Noitamina block, its first season had to be limited to eleven episodes. However, we doubt only eleven episodes will be enough for the whole story, so the studio might as well be forced to make a new season in order to finish the story. In that case, Season 2 could be delivered this autumn. Follow us, and we’ll keep you updated.
