BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has announced that it has been recognized as a leader Enterprise Mobility Management by research firm Forrester Research, Inc. (NASDAQ:FORR).
The leadership title came after the research firm carefully analyzed Blackberry’s Good Secure Mobility Solutions and BES12. The research firm also analyzed services offered by other EMM vendors. Blackberry’s portfolio of BES12 and Good garnered the highest scores among the analyzed vendors. The company had the highest scores in 14 out of the 25 criteria sections that were analyzed by the research firm.
Some of the divisions examined include App Security, App Management, Data Management, Network Security, Secure Productivity Apps, Analytics, and Containerization. Forrester Research claims that Blackberry’s recently acquired Good Technology containerization for new devices and services together with the strong data and network security will solidify the company’s leadership position.
Billy Ho, the Executive VP for Blackberry’s Enterprise Product and Value added solutions stated that the Forrester EMM Wave 2015 is an indicator that the enterprises can depend on the company when advancing their cross-platform mobility strategy. He also stated that the company is happy to be listed as a leader in the EMM market and therefore, Blackberry’ strategy of maintaining the highest level of security and privacy has been of great use to mobility businesses.
The research firm stated in a report that Blackberry appears to be a very different company compared to how it was a few years ago. The report stated that the trend is good news, especially for the company’s customers because it shows that BES has developed into a cross-platform solution without compromising the security measures.
The company has also showed commitment to its customers through Good technology that was recently acquired to harbor communication, collaboration and application development.
According to Forrester Research, Blackberry offers the most comprehensive security platform and is the only EMM vendor that offers device management on multiple platforms. Blackberry also goes an extra mile because it secures mobile communications between the G7 governments and 10 of the largest global banks. The company is still making new investments to streamline its expansion strategy.
