Here, you can watch the trailer, which was released during Game 4 of the NBA Finals between Golden State and Cleveland. The poster looks amazing though – see it below.

Black Panther Release Date

Black Panther will premiere on February 16th, 2018, whereas the production has already commenced.

Cast and Characters

The role of Black Panther belongs to Chadwick Boseman, whereas Michael B. Jordan will play a villain Erik Killmonger. Jordan and Coogler have cooperated in the past on the movies we have already mentioned – Fruitvale Station and Creed. Jordan’s character is “a powerful warrior and strategic genius in politics and economics,” created by Don McGregor and Rich Buckler.

Also, Lupita Nyong’o who appeared in 12 Years a Slave will be Nakia, a member of the Dora Milaje, the royal bodyguards of T’Challa. The head of Dora Milaje is Okoye who will be portrayed by Danai Gurira. This cast is already impressive, but they will be joined by Angela Bassett in the role of Ramonda, T’Challa’s mother, and Forest Whitaker, who will also appear in the movie.

Winston Duke is M’Baku, who appeared in comics in Avengers #62 back in 1969. Roy Thomas and John Buscema created this character. N’Jobu, “a figure from T’Challa aka Black Panther’s past,” will be played by Sterling K. Brown who won an Emmy for his role of Christopher Darden in The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Horror Story.

Marvel’s synopsis goes like this: “Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.”
