Roman Reigns has been on the end of a great push from the WWE. He is their pick to be the top babyface and the face of the company so Vince is trying to make this man look as good as possible. That likely means him beating some of the most popular superstars that way Roman is going to look strong and good in the ring. Two of them that put him over in most recent memory are John Cena and The Undertaker.
If we were to make a list of the best superstars of all time, Cena would likely be in the top four while The Undertaker would be the single best creation in the history of the company and one of the most iconic superstars of all time. Most of the stars never beat one of these two legends, let alone both of them.
Reigns has done that, but the thing about his victories is the fact that he has done it in the same year. At Wrestlemania, he was able to beat the Undertaker, handing him his second loss at Mania to go along with his Wrestlemania 30 loss to Brock Lesnar.
On the other hand, he beat John Cena just a couple of months ago at the No Mercy pay per view. When he was asked about which win is more significant for him, this is what The Big Dog had to say.
“Beating Cena was more satisfying but it was bigger moment obviously for me beating The Undertaker in one of the biggest Wrestlemania’s of all time. It was just one of those moments in my career that’ll shine no matter what happens or who I get in the ring with. Being in the ring with The Undertaker in the main event, that speaks for itself but there is something very satisfying about beating John Cena.”
