Speaking of video games, 2016 was a really good year. We had a chance to see people going crazy over Pokemon Go, and played games such as The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV. Moreover, games such as Nathan Drake’s last adventure cannot be forgotten as well, and 2017 will probably not be better than 2016 in terms of video games.
However, we expect a great year with Red Dead finally returning and with Nintendo fixing some errors of the Wii U. Some of the following titles might not appear in 2017, but we base this list on the announcements of publishers and developers. Here are the best and the most anticipated games of 2017.
10. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
South Park: The Stick of Truth might not seem like a terrific game at the beginning, but as you proceed, it becomes better. Once you reach the end, you want to play more. This is a great game for all South Park fans, and there are many. We hope that the South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be even better.
9. Prey
The Dishonored series is definitely a tremendous and popular franchise, but not all people may find it engaging as there are far more interesting titles, at least for some. The developer Arkane Studios is doing a great job, so we can’t wait to see their new game called Prey. This is a first-person shooter, and it has been in the development stage for a long time, so we can’t wait for Prey to see the light of the day.
8. Yooka Laylee
A new 3D action platformer is coming from Playtonic Games, and it is called Yooka-Laylee. Because of the fact that a bunch of former Rare employees is working on the development of this game, it is no wonder that it reminds us of Banjo-Kazooie. It has already been confirmed that Yooka-Layle will be launched on April 11th for Xbox One, PS4 and PS, but there is also a possibility that it will be available for Nintendo Switch.
7. Crackdown 3
We can’t wait to see Crackdown 3 on Xbox One. Actually, we can’t wait for the launch of this game. This is one of the best games regarding player’s freedom in an open world, and the next installment will probably knock gamers off their feet.
6. Mario Switch
A new 3D Mario game will go on sale in March, and it will be available for the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, this is the only thing that we know about this title so far, but the release date still needs to be confirmed. This game is on the list because it is a Mario game in 3D form – How cool is that?
5. Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn was a spot on ever since it has been introduced by Sony at E3 2015. The Guerrilla Games’ new project is great, and we already saw that they are capable of producing fantastic games. The Horizon Zero Dawn will grab your attention from the beginning, and it is so entertaining to play.
4. Persona 5
Persona 3 and Persona 4 have been popular from the moment they appeared on the market. We hope that the next installment of this franchise will be as sensational as the previous two considering that Persona 4 is an amazing story-driven game.
3. Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer is amazing, and you can watch it all over again. Hopefully, the new game will be as good as the trailer. The worlds in the new game seem vast, and Andromeda is that kind of game you can play for a long time without getting bored.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
What could we possibly say about this one? Everyone wants to play it because you get the complete freedom to explore the world around you and tackle obstacles in any way you want. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of those games we can just wait for to be launched.
1.Red Dead Redemption 2
One of the Rockstar’s best games is the Red Dead Redemption, and it is the most anticipated game of 2017. Just like it is the case with Zelda, there is not much to say about this title except that we really hope that we can play it as soon as possible.
