June, a period in the year where the NBA Finals have just ended, the Stanley Cup Finals too and baseball teams play irrelevant games since it is still early in the season. So what should we do now with our lives and all that spare time that we used to spend on great and amazing sporting events?
Many of us are eagerly waiting for the start of the 2017 NFL season, but until it begins, we’ll take a look at numbers that show whose fan base is the best. We’ll also cover the worst ones, don’t worry.
Michael Lewis of Emory University recently conducted a study with a goal to rank the NFL’s 32 fan bases according to three parameters, fan equity, social media equity and road equity. We present to you the results:
The table clearly shows that ‘the much hated’ Dallas Cowboys are number 1, right behind them are the Patriots. Nothing out of the ordinary so far. Coming in behind, in the third place are Eagles who are followed by Giants. A bit of a surprise came with the fact that Broncos only managed to grab the position number 8 on this table.
Standing at the rock bottom are the Kansas City Chiefs, one number above are the Rams who are bettered by the Titans and the Jaguars.
