1DIE HARD
We are completely serious when it comes to Die Hard and its place on this list. For decades now, people have been arguing whether this is indeed the best Christmas movie of all time. The 1988 action film features Bruce Willis who is an NY City cop named John McClane. John has to do everything to save the Christmas Eve party he’s attending since he realizes that there is a group of terrorists trying to ruin everything.
Forbes decided to place Die Hard at number one place in its list of the best Christmas movies in history this year. Why? ‘It’s a mix of the baddie from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas; the unbeatable hero who shows up to teach everyone a lesson from Miracle On 34th Street; the ghosts of past, present, and future who bring insight and change from A Christmas Carol; plus every redemptive struggle about family and personal evolution and good versus evil, all wrapped up in a big shiny box with a bow made of explosions and bullets.’
Empire magazine also put Die Hard at the top of its Best Christmas Films list. Die Hard is ahead of It’s a Wonderful Life. That makes Bruce Willis an unlikely Santa however.
