Directed by Seth Gordon and based on the television series of the same name, “Baywatch” the movie has been talked about a lot recently, as its premiere day is getting closer – it is scheduled to hit theaters on May 26, 2017. The film stars Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Besides the new crew members, some of the actors who were part of the series will make an appearance again, Pamela Anderson included.
Pamela Anderson’s memorable performance as C. J. Parker in the popular series made her famous. She was a part of the series from 1992–1997, working together with David Hasselhoff who played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon, David Charvet as Matt Brody, Alexandra Paul as Stephanie Holden and others.
When it comes to the forthcoming movie, famous Canadian actress admits she is not really thrilled about Dwayne Johnson being given the part of Mitch. According to ITV’s Loose Women, here’s what the 49-year-old star thinks about Johnson’s role: “It was funny to look at The Rock and think he was supposed to be (David) Hasselhoff. It just didn’t quite gel, no.”
In addition to this comment, she also revealed something about her own part in the movie: “I’m doing a cameo at the end. They asked me to. But I like the TV show. I never wanted to do the movie, I don’t like when they do these remakes of TV shows because it was bad TV for a reason. It was good bad TV, now it’s going to be a spoofy movie.”
We will have to wait a little bit longer to see the reaction of the public on the topic of the new film and if they will agree with Pamela or not. Stay tuned for more news on this one.
