WWE has failed to make a decent number of new stars over the past couple of years. The only wrestlers that were built up on the main roster were the three Shield members and Braun Strowman. Besides them, everybody else got over in the NXT. Even with those guys, WWE has failed to book them the right way. You can just take a look at wrestlers like Shinsuke Nakamura. Yes, he is over with the fans, but the company is not using him the right way and making him a huge star.
That is why they often find themselves not being able to attract a lot of fans to the shows and to the pay per views over the course of the past year. More often than not, they are turning to the stars of the past to be big draws for them. One of the names that have recently been linked to the WWE is Batista.
He said that he did leave the company the last time because they didn’t have anything planned for him. No story was told with this guy, and that is why he let his contract to run out. Everybody there knew that, and he decided that he wanted to pursue other things in life.
Now, he doesn’t have any bad blood with the company and would love to come back. Not just for one show or one match. Batista would like to be a full-time wrestler again. Here is what he had to say on the matter.
“But the short answer to that is yes, I would love to go back, but the reason I have not gone back is because I don’t want to do a one-off. I want to go and I want to wrestle. I want to do some house shows. I want to be a part of the program.”
