So many terrific movies from the last decade are being revived, and in the last couple of years, we have been able to watch a lot of reboots and spin-offs. Another classic from the 1990s is going to be brought back to life – Ace Ventura.
We will always remember Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura and like it or not, the reboot will definitely be made. Deadline reports that the production company which is behind the franchise wants to increase the number of TV shows and to do that, they will bring Ace Ventura back as one of the shows. The Exorcist reboot could be considered as successful, and Morgan Creek bosses said they want a “mainstream theatrical production re-launch.”
But in case Ace Ventura returns to the small screens, the show is expected to pay homage to the original series. In other words, there will not be a straight remake, but something slightly different. Morgan Creek boss David Robinson said: “Because it’s episodic in nature, about a pet detective, it also lends itself to a traditional single-camera series franchise.”
There is even a possibility that Jim Carrey is going to return, but according to Robinson, the idea of the reboot is more of “a baton-handing” situation. We would like to see Carrey in the reboot of Ace Ventura, but even if that doesn’t happen, you can watch the famous actor in the show called Kidding, which consists of 10 parts.
Kidding revolves around a character named Jeff and played by Jim Carrey, who is just a massive kids TV star. However, his family and fame start to unravel, and we will not spoil it for you. Would you like to see Ace Ventura reboot on TV?
